The Hudson River Presbytery is spread across 8 counties and 76 congregations in New York. We are part of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and a member of the Synod of the Northeast. (View a Regional Presbytery Map Here)

As a resurrection people, Hudson River Presbytery engages people’s passions; builds partnerships; nurtures strong leadership; and creates healthy, vital communities of faith; all to the glory of God.

As members of the body of Christ, Hudson River Presbytery is called to live resurrection with passion and partnership in a changing world.

We respond to our calling by embracing the following values:

  • Partnership: We dream and work together as we practice resurrection.

  • Hospitality: We welcome all into the community of God’s radical grace.

  • Justice: We proclaim the unconditional love of God’s shalom through prophetic acts of compassion and reconciliation following in the steps of the living Christ.

  • Passion: We make visible the energy and power of the Holy Spirit.

  • Curiosity: We wonder openly about the new things God is doing.

  • Honesty: We live authentically and transparently, speaking the truth in love.

  • Joy: We celebrate the fullness of God’s grace in every moment.

  • Generosity: We embody God’s abundance in our giving and our living.

  • Inclusivity: We make room with joy, as our faith requires, for all people to be welcomed into our churches, lives, and the world.
