Helping and Healing
The Healthy Congregations/Mediation Team is a resource of the Committee on Ministry. Through it, trained clergy and lay leaders provide support, resources and strategies to the churches of the Hudson River Presbytery through

Conflict mediation (from helping two people talk to providing opportunities for groups to interact, with emphasis on listening and healing)

Consultation to enhance leadership skills

Officer training through its Healthy Congregation Workshop

The Healthy Congregations Workshop introduces participants to a view of congregational life as:

a system of emotional forces

an organism that will respond for better or worse to anxiety and change

a people shaped by self-defined leaders

The five-hour workshop uses Power Point, small group reflection, videos, and Bible study. It is ideal for officer training and joint session/deacon meetings. To schedule it at your church, contact Rev. Martin McGeachy; 845-531-2690; revmcgeachy@comcast.net
